It seems like the Japanese hi-fi companies always find a different route to solving issues that we may have with our stereos, and sometimes they even present us with solutions to problems we didn’t know we had until we have time to think about them.
Along with some very good cables and power products, Acoustic Revive director and inventor Ken Ishiguro has come up with some innovative products that, to one degree or another, can, and do, offer improved performance to just about any hi-fi system. And he’s taken some very unconventional routes to get to many of these solutions. And some of them, like using solid core conductors for audio cables (patent number 5871984), have been copied by a number of cable companies; some more well known in the U.S. than Acoustic Revive.
Acoustic Revive’s solid core conductors, PC-Triple C, offers the additional benefit of lower impurity levels and fewer grain boundaries than even PCOCC or single crystal copper, which leads to better conductivity.
Mr. Ishiguro was also at the forefront of the controversial subject of demagnetizing CDs and records. Hi-fi reviewers and others have taken a lot of heat for advancing the idea. But here are the facts: Ken Ishiguro holds a U.S. patent (number 6058078A) for the process, and has for more than twenty years. In order to get a U.S. patent, one must show proof that the product under patent review actually does what is claimed. Mr. Ishiguro’s RL-30 and RD-3 do exactly that.
Acoustic Revive has also been a frontrunner in the use of tourmaline in their products. The various varieties of tourmaline are a crystal material similar to quartz. Acoustic Revive uses this as an insulator in their cables, power products, and in many of their other offerings.
Along with their own innovations, Acoustic Revive also uses the Hitachi Metals Ltd. Finemet® nanocrystalline soft magnetic material beads in the construction of their cable products to resist RFI, EMI and other types of internal and external interferences to the proper operation of the cables.
We have highlighted on this web page some of the more useful of Acoustic Revive’s products, but we offer their entire catalog of products, which can be viewed on their website. Call us to discuss the products below or any of their other offerings.

The YTP-4R and YTP-6R use audio grade, non-plated phosphor bronze receptacles and rhodium-plated inlets along with Acoustic Revive’s patented PC-Triple C wire for internal wiring. The PC-Triple C features solid core conductors and Teflon insulation.
They are shielded internally using silicon carbide (carborundum) and quartz, and other damping and shielding measures are also taken. The casework of both models is of aluminum alloy.
The YTP-4R and YTP-6R are both highly recommended for front end components, and also will not restrict current for amplification products.
Both models are sold without a power cord. We recommend the Acoustic Revive Power Standard TripleC-FM.
YTP-4R – 4 Outlets
Dimensions: 129mm wide x 150mm long x 35mm high
Retail Price: $595.00
YTP-6R – 6 Outlets
Dimensions: 129mm wide x 210mm long x 35mm high
Retail Price: $695.00
Offered in a standard two meter length as well as longer lengths in half meter increments, the Power Standard Triple C-FM features a 12 gauge solid core conductor made of Acoustic Revive’s patented PC-Triple C copper, tourmaline shielding, and additional shielding provided by Hitachi Metals Ltd.’s FineMet® Beads. Connectors are by Furutech and Matsushita Electric. The outer cover is a flexible carbon tube.
The Power Standard Triple C-FM is appropriate for all but the highest drawing amplifiers in any system, and is offered at a reasonable price.
Retail Price:
2 Meter Length – $675.00
Each Additional Half Meter Length – $225.00
The AC-2.0 series power cords offer high performance on a budget. Both models use the same patented 12 gauge PC-Triple C solid core copper conductor as the Power Standard model, but with only tourmaline insulating material and a polyethylene jacket rather than one made of carbon.
Furutech and Matsushita connectors are used on both models, with the AC-2.0 Triple C using an IEC connector, while the AC-2.0 Triple C-MG uses a C7 connector for use with many DVD and CD players on the market.
Both models come standard in a two meter length. Longer lengths are available in half meter increments.

The Acoustic Revive Line 1.0R-Triple C-FM (RCA connectors) and Line 1.0X-Triple C-FM (balanced XLR connectors) utilize their patented PC-Triple C solid core conductors covered with pure Teflon insulation; two conductors for the RCA version and three conductors for the XLR version.
Other features of these cable models include a full, pure copper shield, silk insulator layer, and a layer of Hitachi Metals Ltd.’s FineMet® Beads. The cable is sheathed in a carbon FS sleeve.
The connectors are high grade, using milled aluminum and brass alloy parts. The result is a highly flexible cable that offers outstanding signal-to-noise performance, ever when using long lengths.

The RL-30 Mk. III is the latest in the line of patented demagnetizers created by Ken Ishiguro. At a larger 450 millimeters wide by 455 millimeters deep and 90 millimeters high, the RL-30 Mk. III can accommodate everything from CDs to 12 inch records to cables. The RL-30 Mk. III comes with a hinged cover as well.
Mr. Ishiguro received U.S. patent number US 6058078A for this technology more than twenty years ago by providing proof to the U.S. Patent Office that the device and technology do what is claimed. There have been many detractors, but the perhaps the best way to know for sure is to give the RL-30 Mk. III a try.
Retail Price: $2495.00
The RD-3 is a CD and DVD sized version of the RL-30 Mk. III. Claimed benefits of using the RD-3 on compact discs are a more expansive sound stage and better clarity.
The RD-3 measures 160 millimeters wide by 198 millimeters deep by 56 millimeters high and weighs just 650 grams. It operates on standard U.S. voltage and can be conveniently located because if its small size.
Retail Price: $550.00
